Hi Steve,
First of all, you don't always get vibrations. Sometimes you get different sensations or hallucinations. So if you wait for one specific thing, you may miss your cue.
Second, if you fall asleep too soon, maybe you can stay up little longer for a WBTB. Or if you not using a mantra, try it. Mantra will keep you anchored to awareness by entertaining your mind, so it doesn't fall asleep prematurelly.
Third, if you have not read this WILD (sageous) tutorial yet, I can recommend it to you.
