      Body tenses during WILD attempts?

So, first of let me say i have WILDed before so i know what to expect.

This morning, i managed to attempt a DEILD. I actually woke up and knew it wasnt gonna work but i tried the SSILD technique i think its called. And after like 20 seconds i got hit with the bed trembling vibrations. It almost felt like i was being sucked or warped at light speed into the dream world.

it basically looked like that. I started to hear auditory hallucinations of my cat running around as well.

But the main problem is once i feel like im being warped into the dream world. My mouth tenses up and it ruins my attempt. Its like my body has a natural defense mechanism that prevents me from WILDing. Anyone know this feel?

Your brain does have a natural defense mechanism against WILDing. The whole system is designed to be either fully asleep or fully awake and nothing in between. Otherwise, you'd lose your marbles pretty quickly. WILD requires a person to use their intellect to keep their brain on the razor's edge between sleep and wake, with constant adjustments one way or the other as the situation requires.

You're waking yourself up, so the solution is to relax more, be more passive in your thoughts, and most of all practice. Practice practice practice practice.
