      Control's WILD guide!

After a LOT of trial and error I can safely say that I have finally found a technique that is easy and works almost every time for me! I thought I'd share this technique to help some of you out because I've been struggling with WILD for the past years, unable to pull it off and it's a pretty demotivating and frustrating progress. I've considered giving up many times and reached to other people for tips all the time. The problem was that everybody gave me really good tips but I would still fail every single time.

The procedure of a WILD would be:
      1. Make sure you're near or in a REM-cycle (which would mean that it's very recommended to go to sleep first which is already explained in so many guides)
      2. Find a personal anchor to stay aware
      3. Enter the dream

it sounds really easy but still lot of people need more specific tactics to succesfully WILD.

So what I do while going to sleep is telling myself I will wake up after anywhere between 5-6 hours.
I always insist on waking up naturally because that would mean I'd be on the end of my REM-cycle.
I have added an attachment showing an estimated timespan between REM-cycles.

Now what I used to do is, when I woke up, was directly trying WILD from here on.
As we can see on the chart however, it's still about 30-50 minutes until the next REM-cycle which means that you'll have to remain conscious all that time! I always ended up losing consciousness and waking up remembering fragments of non-lucid dreams.

Now what I do when I wake up naturally is set an alarm that goes off ONCE after 30 minutes which you don't have to put out yourself.
I have searched for a way to do this and I have found one at last!
There's an application called: "Lucid Dream Reality Check Reminder" and it's completely free.
It's extremely easy to use, you can set an interval in hours:minutes so all you need to do is just put somewhere between 00:30 and 01:00 there.

Then there's a repeat tab where you see "20".
Change that "20" to "1" and tick ON "Play sound" and "vibrate" below.
Then all you have to do is press start and make sure to KEEP YOUR PHONE active, do not lock it because the app won't go off, just lay it somewhere close to you and leave it active.

Now when you wake up after the alarm, all you have to is either practise to keep your eyes closed or just roll-over once. So it's practically a DEILD or a really short WILD because you'll wake up RIGHT when you REM-cycle starts or it may already be active!
All that is left to do know is to find a personal anchor that gets you atleast slightly excited and motivated to keep that awareness.

Now it may sound very crazy but one of the FEW anchors that works for me is.. well, visualizing a sex-dream!
It's so boring to visualize walking downstairs or through your house that I slip out of consciousness every attempt. Also counting your breaths doesn't interest me at all. You have to find something that is capable of exciting you a little bit when you're new to the whole process.

Since you're already in or near your REM-cycle is should literally only take few minutes to find yourself in a dream. Watch out that you don't forget that you're attempting to lucid dream because it's easy to get carried away by events in dreams. Lots of times I'm already dreaming but I still believe that I'm actually attempting to WILD.

Good luck with it guys, I figured if it helped me it should help some of you too!
