My plan to try to WILD quickly - any input?

So I decided to start trying to WILD. I've found that if I wake up by an alarm, and then hit snooze which lasts 5 minutes, I may dream even in that short time period. I also find that unless I get up and move around, I fall back asleep very fast after an alarm turns off, even if I intended to do SSILD cycles or a MILD mantra.

So my idea, well into the night so I am likely near REM, was to have an alarm gently wake me up, but turn itself off after a few seconds. Then, I would use an anchor that takes a little more mental effort, so I don't get distracted from it too much, such as repeating the alphabet, or doing it backward, or adding 3, plus 1, plus 3, plus 1, etc.

Basically, it would have the speed of DEILD, but without visualizing any particular dream and letting myself move a little if necessary. The idea is to barely surface from sleep into consciousness, then take that consciousness with me as I fall back asleep quickly.

Well, what do you think? Any thoughts, criticisms? Obviously I have to try for myself, but maybe I can learn something before I waste too much time discovering it myself.
Traditional LD methods not working as well as you'd hoped? Give SSILD a try!

Still sounds like a DEILD to me. Nothing wrong with that though. Eventually everyone takes a WILD technique and adjusts it to their preferences. I'm not sure why you're trying to reach the speed of a DEILD though. If you don't think you have enough time, then maybe you should change your wake up time, or try for a DILD.

Also what have you been working with? Consistency is a lot better than random stuff IMO.

When your rem sleep ends, you're waking up, changing your position (unconsciously most of the time), and then falling asleep into delta in a really short period of time, like a minute, or two, or something?

I think the key here is just not to get out of the bed, because it works like a NLP anchor. When you wake up in the morning, you get out of the bed, and start your day. When you get out of the bed at night, you active your daily mind by that.

So if you are able to keep your consciousness in that really drowsy state, you'll be pretty much able to WILD that quickly. (?)
I think counting and repeating a mantra is the best way to not to lose consciousness

All above is just my theory, don't take it 100% seriously.
