That sounds like a DILD to me. Did it feel different from your others? |

So this morning I decided to squeeze in one more dream...and was telling myself to have an LD and know I am dreaming. Within seconds I fell asleep. I was wandering through these corridors of a building, feeling nice, warm, and dry. I came to the exit, and looking out the glass doors saw it was raining, and chided myself thinking I wandered around inside but I still have to go outside in the rain now. I was on a campus and it was crowded with students heading to class. I crossed a campus road over to an old acedemic building and was telling myself I was coming to consult with one of the foremost experts on dreams. As soon as I thought that I realized I was dreaming...I watched the scene in amazement, but it then froze for a second, then faded. It was like a DILD but really fast and I triggered lucid when I was thinking about the word 'dream'. I think the corridors were me entering the dream from an awake state (like a metafore). |

Yes...it felt a little different...I have had 3 or 4 that are like this. When I became lucid it wasnt like an epiphany like my DILDs seem to be....more like I was roused from having been half dozing... |

WILD is when you are aware that you are dreaming from the very beginning due to remaining aware while falling asleep. DILD is when you get aware during the dream. Remember, even though WILDs generally known to have higher awareness and vividness due to going from waking state, DILDs can get just as high if one can find way to trigger awareness and/or if one just has generally higher awareness that time, in same way WILD quality can be low if one's attempt doesn't go well or if awareness is too low. |
