      So close to lucidity?

Hey, so recently (the past week or so) I've been trying quite hard to perform a WILD. I think for the most part, I have been doing everything correctly (actually I wouldn't know, but I have certainly been trying). I can normally get into the stage where my body feels tingly and I lose the sort of feeling of the position of my body. However, once I'm in that stage I have never once been able to transition into the stage of actually dreaming. I will sit there (well lie there) staring at the back of my eye lids for up to an entire hour without anything happening at all. Most of the time, I will fall asleep after 20-30 minutes of nothing happening.

Also, it's a little hard to explain, but the only times that I will start to dream is when I start to lose conciousness. Occasionally I will realize that I am losing consciousness, but once I do the dream disappears and I'm back to staring at the back of my eyelids.

Am I doing something wrong, or could I at least have a few tips pertaining to the problem that I seem to be experiencing?

      Thanks!

Have you tried moving your dream body?

Oh that does remind me now (seems sort of important now that I think about it) that once I did try spinning and I felt significantly closer to reaching a dream state than I ever did before. However, I didn't reach a dream state because there was too much environmental sound at the time that I tried.

I've tried it a few more times after that experience, but it doesn't seem to get me closer any more.

EDIT: whoops, forgot this part. In regards to your question, yes I have. Sometimes I picture myself moving, but I think it's just my imagination and not my actual dream body (because it seems hard for me to feel my dream body at all \: ).

      Yo.
When you were attempting the WILD? If you were attempting it when going to sleep normally, then you are doing it wrong, best times to do WILD are WBTB after some sleep or during a nap.
Also don't forget that the goal of WILD is to fall asleep while being aware, not to stay awake. Check out this tutorial for in-depth information about WILD: WILD .

I think maybe you should try that again. I find it easier to WILD/DEILD by doing something as simple as rubbing my hands. The more real it feels the deeper in you are.
