Cannot seem to successfully perform a WILD

I've never realy been that successful at lucid dreaming and I have tryed wild like 20 times with no successes.the only success have ever had with lucid dreaming was random and felt like a daydream. On my latest wild attempt I layed on my back for 45min and only got to the point were most of my body went num. this was in the morning about an hour after I woke up and my only movements were random twitches and clearing my throat every 10 min. Could that have messed me up or am I doing something else wrong? Also what other tequniques do you suggest?

WILD is not about just lying and waiting for something to happen, and WILD is not about worrying about twitches/movement/swallowing, however WILD is about falling asleep while keeping awareness. I strongly recommend reading those tutorials for better understanding on what WILD is and how to do it:

As for other methods and techniques, if you haven't had lucid dreams yet i recommend starting with DILD for awareness practice, it's usually better to start practicing WILD only after getting the feel of lucid dreaming and awareness practice.
