      a question about wild

hello everyone i experienced something strange last night

i am trying to do wild at night time since more then three months and i know its not good for me because rem is 90 minutes away but last night i lay down on my side and just started watching those hypnagogic images they were bright and they eventually turned into a full dreamscape it was fully wide and clear . within 5 minutes it happened and it was fixed i was observing it that was my own house and some green colored magic waves were also their moving around i knew that i was about to enter that dream but my arm started hurting a lot so i opened my eyes to relax my hand and again start but it didn't
happened afterwards .i know i was very close to a successful wild .the day was normal except one change i slept for two hours at daytime.

my question is if we sleep at daytime REM occur directly at night without waiting for 90 minutes or does it make any difference?

and one more thing is my schedule only allow me to do wild at that time i cannot do WBTB that is why i am doing at night .

Can you make your question a little bit more clear? When you do, I would be happy to answer your question

It does indeed sound like you were close to a WILD. My guess would be that if you can have a lengthy nap in the afternoon then your REM cycle may indeed be different at night because you will be better rested then, and thus in less need of as much deep sleep. However, this is just a guess. I do however think that since you appear to have come close to a WILD at this time, then it may be possible to do so. I would suggest that you keep trying, and if you succeed using this method, please post to DreamViews so that others can learn from your experience. I am not sure whether others have tried this long afternoon nap followed by WILD attempt in the evening. However, I do know that it is quite possible to successfully WILD during an afternoon nap, since I actually succeeded at that once. So you could try for that as well.

thank you joannab i actually try WILD at daytime also but after failing i don't sleep yesterday i slept without trying for 2 hours and i found it really easy to see hypnagogia when going to sleep .i will do that from now and i will definately post my result when succeed in detail.

and @theboonman i want to ask if i sleep at afternoon for 2 hours then at the time of going to sleep at night my REM will start earlier or sleeping at daytime will not have any effect on REM sleep?

Oh, my bad chitrarth, my guess I would have to say no. Your Sleep cycle is different every night with different factors that will effect it. Such as stress during the day, how much sleep you got the past night, etc. But I do not think that a nap will effect it. The REM period for the most part is to be averaged at every 2 hours during your nights rest. It probably will not change with a nap. If anything, It will make your REM start a little bit later. But I doubt it will be much of a factor.
