Firstly, unless you have a disorder, what you hope to experience is actually REM atonia. Secondly, attempting to WILD when you first go to sleep is not advised. You could be lying there for upwards of 90 minutes and nothing to show for it. The best time to WILD is 5 or 6 hours after your first REM cycle (dreaming stage). Thirdly, REM atonia is not a goal, its a signpost. Use it to remind yourself that you're on the right path, then completely ignore it. Finally, you could always try DILD instead. Good luck. |

Everything splodeymissile said basically covered it perfectly! You should read this thread on Sleep Paralysis to clear any falsities or myths you may have heard. Good luck |

What splodeymissile and realdealmagic said. For WILD you need to fall asleep while keeping awareness using an anchor and then enter dream, i very strongly suggest checking out this tutorial: WILD |

REM atonia is another word for SP. |

Ok, now I realize I had terminology wrong too, didn't know what to call the non-SP. but basically the point is that what actually happens during WILD is nothing to be scared of, and no paralysis or demons involved. |
