Im worried about trying WILD (Sleep Paralysis)

I really like WILD but apart from sleep paralysis, because i watched some documentary about it and the people hated going through that and i was just wondering, how long do you have to be in SP before you go into the dream world.
I tried FILD, last night but it was abit odd because i usually go to bed around 3am and wake up about 1:30pm. but last night i went to bed at 11:30pm and set my alarm to 5, tried FILD (failed) then woke up later at 9:30am.

So can you suggest any methods that are good for me?
Or give me advice on WILD, thanks in advance

It's creepy if you don't know that it's not real. My worst 'nightmare' (I say nightmare because I didn't know it was not a nightmare, but a SP) was about the girl of 'The Ring' putting her face on my neck and breathing, it felt so real, and it was the worst experience I've ever had. But if you know it's an hallucination and keep calm you'll not have problem. Btw not everyone experience it in the same way.

I tried FILD last night and after 1 hour I gave up, I'll try again tonight :/ Good luck!

SP is not a part of WILD, or even lucid dreaming in general, it's a disorder and it's not possible to induce, most of people do not experience it and for most of those for who it happens it only happens once or twice through lifetime. There was alot of misconception about WILD and SP in the past, i highly suggest reading this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html
Also check out this detailed tutorial on WILD: WILD

As for other methods, DILD is usually the best for most of people who start with lucid dreaming, here are some tutorials to check:

If you not prone to SPs, and if you were, you would already know, you are very unlikely to have SP when LDing. Btw, hallucinations experienced while WILDing are not SP. SP is when your body gets paralyzed and you can't move, no matter what. Not when we think it would be hard to move, or it is hard to move.

SP can be accompanied with some hallucinations. But as I said, HH we experience during WILDing is not SP.

Links that scionox posted are great source of information and will help you understand the difference between SP and HH, and why you should not worry about it.
