Fall a sleep too soon, any solutions?

I have tried like 20 WILD attempts recently, to be precise every day at around 5 am, but I always fell asleep too soon in all of them, today I tried to WiLD during a nap, so i started counting as I was relaxing on my bed, but i remember up to 40. Thats very fast for a nap. Anyway thats how I am, how can i solve this issue? How can I retain awareness for enough time to enter a WILD?

Counting or mantras are what we use. And WBTB. Do you get up for a few minutes before you attempt a WILD? WBTB is designed to wake up your mind, so it stays aware until you are ready to enter a dream lucidly. Stay up for just long enough, until you can think clearly, but still fall asleep reasonably quickly.
