      Now everything makes sense

I read through the sensations sticky and was surprised when I read about dream images you see on your eyelids before you fall asleep. This happens to me all the time, and I always thought it was my OCD. Because when I would look into it, I would search "frightening images before falling asleep" and "OCD" together and see that it's a common thing for people with OCD to see scary images (like pools of blood, dead people, creepy ghostly figures) before falling asleep. Now I realize this is a thing that can happen to anyone.

The images I see aren't always disturbing. Lately I've been seeing running people or running horses. But they are very clear and like watching a film I cannot control. They are like dreams and I just wonder how it happens. It makes sense that this is just entering a dream state, but still in the observation phase.

Perhaps I am naturally suited for the WILD method. When I told my husband about my finding, he said, "I doubt it." Jokingly, to tease me, but with some seriousness. He told me he knows I see these things, but he just doesn't know what it is because he's never experienced it for himself. While for me this happens every night. I just need to find a way to go from this dream state in which dream images, flashes and auditory hallucinations often occur into lucidity.

See if same thing happens when you nap, or after some hours of sleep. That is the best time to WILD. And yes, images can be in any stage of falling asleep. They could be either HH, or dreams, that are starting to form.

We prefer to dream in REM, that's why we recommend to WILD after some hours of sleep or during nap. Good luck

Oh, and don't get discouraged by your husband. If he tried to keep his mind awake just a little longer then normally, he would see what you see.

most of these images will be random or based off of expectation. So after seeing one creepy thing randomly once, your expectation will kick in and make this a more recurring thing because it seems like scary images are normal. Make sense? I hope you look into LDing some more. visualization is a key part to it and you seem to be great at it!
