I decided to try the WILD technique last night. Well, I felt my body getting very light, and I could barely feel it. It felt like I was sinking and becoming light like air-I was still awake- and aware of what was going on around me. Then, at one point, my body jumped. It was like it spasmed without control, sort of. I was kind of freaked out but I kept laying there. I started to see flashes of light here and there, and one time something really weird, not sure how to describe it, exactly. And my body jerked more. I heard a flute noise at one point.
Needless to say, with my body randomly jerking, crazy random lights and not having much success, I decided to just try to go to sleep. However, I found that when I tried to go to sleep my head jerked forward for no reason!! And I also started hearing this high pitched buzzing noise in my ears as well. I ended up turning on the bathroom light and was able to fall asleep after that.
So...is this normal? My body doesn't usually jerk/spasm when I'm laying in bed or anything like that. Maybe I should stick to other techniques, haha! I was concentrating pretty hard on remaining conscious while slipping into my dream with a specific focus on what to do when I was dreaming. Maybe that's where I went wrong?
