Do you have an anchor? Like a mantra or counting in your head? There are a lot of good anchors you could use, some people listen to the sound of a fan or count in time with their breathing. Another good one is visualizing yourself doing any kind of rhythmic movement, like walking, swimming, riding a bike, etc. That was mentioned in this episode of the DreamViews podcast: http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamviews...jump-cuts.html
Visualizing a dream scene is good too, you could try visualizing yourself lucid in the last dream you had. You can combine some of those too, listen to a fan while doing your mantra, for example. Oh and watch out for false awakenings, you might have actually succeeded but think you failed because you're still in your bed.
Also, remember you want to fall asleep, just with enough awareness to go into the dream world lucid
Keep us updated on how you're doing~
