Having some problems with WILD the past few nights.

Hello, so as the title suggests, the past two nights I've had a recurring issue when attempting to WILD.

Fortunately enough I automatically wake up early in the morning by myself which is good for attempting a WILD, as around that time I am in my REM cycle. I would immediately then lay still and the vibrations would come as well as some flashing lights; I believe that's the image hallucinations.

Now what happens is I think I am too hasty and try to "open my dream eyes" or "stand up" into the dream world. When I tried though, I found that I was opening my real eyes, or actually got up.

I've WILDed a few times before and this was never a problem. I would easily enter a lucid dream when the vibrations and flashing lights behind my eyelids occur.

I guess what I'm asking is, what is the proper way to do it? Wait for the vibrations and hallucinations to STOP, then enter the dream? Or do I enter the dream whilst the vibrations and hallucinations occur? When do I know its safe to open my "dream eyes" and know I won't open my real eyes?

P.S apologies if the post is a little long, just trying to clearly express my issue.

      Thanks.

Sometimes, when WILDing, we enter in a dream faster than other times. Sometimes we just need more time. So, my advice to you is, don't be hasty to open your dream eyes. Why open? When you enter a dream, your dream eyes will be already open.
What i do is just wait for an identifiable image to appear. Like this week, i was feeling vibrations and all and some lights. But i lay still because i was not in a dream yet. With my real eyes shut, i started to see my bedroom with some weird furniture. When this image was clear, i knew i was inside the dream. Then, slowly i started to get up my bed (in the dream).
I never thought about opening my eyes. They "opened" automaticaly in the dream.

Thank you for the response DreamHighlander. I did exactly as you said, and waited for the vibrations and flashing lights to stop, and just as you said, a dream started forming mere seconds after the vibrations. This time I didn't have to open my dream eyes, I started seeing the dream automatically, as visions started to form and manifest in some sort of landscape.
This is off topic but the dream unfortunately didn't last even 5 seconds, as I started to lose control of the dream and slowly it faded away, but I am most certainly going to continue experimenting.
Thank you though for the advice given, it was accurate and true in my case. Much appreciated.

You're on the right track. Now you just have to keep trying and don't feel disapointed if this first dreams become short. It takes time but you'll get there.
