What's up DV? I'm wondering how melatonin and/or valerian pills will affect a WILD - I've never successfully WILDed before but my attempt the other day came pretty close and I think that if I keep at it I could totally have it down sometime soon. I've gotten back into dreaming a few days ago (I've been on-again-off-again since I was in my early teens) and melatonin, B6, and valerian have helped a lot with getting me to sleep and keeping the dreams interesting.
The general plan is this: take around 1500 mg of valerian with about 3 mg of melatonin about an hour and a half before bed (I love the tired feeling of staying up an hour into their effects), wake up around 6 hours later, record in my DJ, pop 50 mg of B6, read a bit of William S. Burroughs' dream journal, and go back to sleep after about 15 minutes.
This worked pretty well the other day, except I didn't quite make it past the early hallucinations and somehow found myself moving from my place all of a sudden around an hour after I woke up (probably 30-45 minutes after starting the WILD). I must have fallen asleep or not realized how far I had gone or something but I remember some pretty vivid sounds and two-tone visuals that lead me to believe I was close!
Also there are about a thousand WILD guides here on DV - any recs for the better or more encompassing ones that deal with the actual transition from being awake to dreaming? Thanks guys!
