Unhappy Note to self: Don't look at mirrors after failed WILD attempt.

I attempted another WILD today. After I got back from running errands and visiting with family, I was really tired and decided to try a WILD. After about 40 minutes or so into the attempt, I began to feel vibrations. My neighbor below me kept banging loudly and I think I became too distracted to concentrate. So I stopped the WILD attempt and headed to the bathroom. Now the mirror faces the entrance and I immediately became dizzy when staring at my reflection. I also could barely concentrate. I knew I was fully awake and the WILD had been a failure. Was it possible this was another false awakening or what?

Did you go about the rest of your day? How did you conclude it wasn't a dream?
I have noticed that sometimes after I spend time in a meditative state such as WILD (especially with increased frequency) I will start feeling disoriented IRL with sensations of movement while I'm standing still and confusion about my surroundings and reality. For me, that's a sign i am overdoing it and need to focus less on altered states of consciousness and more on reality.
Also, are you sure your neighbor was banging? Sometimes random, loud, distracting noises aren't real and are a sign you're in the verge of a LD or OBE (whatever it is you are shooting for/ calling it). It's happened to me and it's very convincing and follows the vibrations.

I'm positive it was my neighbor. I've been having issues with them for the past three or four days. Hopefully I can practice a WILD or two tomorrow in peace. I did see a shadow pass through the blinds, but it could have been anything.

I don't understand. It should be fairly clear if an experience was a false awakening, as you wake up afterwards.

Could be you were pretty close to actually dreaming, so you were still in a hallucinating state when you walked to the bathroom, also mirrors are kind of known to be weird on our mind.
