      Transition\entry problem

      Hey there,
So here´s what I do, I lay in my sleeping position, relax my body with the sinking technique, and then just focus on my breath, trying not to let my mind wander too much, usually I´m aware that there are some patterns and colours in the blackground but I dont focus on them, after a while my body starts to feel heavy and numb, and then a wave like feeling comes through me and I stop feeling my body, except my head. Then I just try to wait for the dream to form but nothing happens, I´ve tried looking at the patterns, visualization, or just waiting for something to happen, when I let my mind wander i fall asleep, but it never builds up into a dream, closest I´ve got was when I saw like a mini tunnel in the middle of my vision, there was something in there but it was really hard to focus on and it was also kinda unstable, what I found interesting was that the colours started like pulsing from the tunnel, but it faded after a while. My attempts last from 30 to 45 minutes, also when i try to wait a bit longer, I will slowly start to feel my body again, usually my back hurts and I just give up.
So any advice please ? And sorry for my english.

When do you WILD? Your WILD attempts should coincide with your REM periods. This usually means you'll have to WILD either using WBTB(look it up) or during naps in the afternoon, or in the mornings.

During naps and when I wake up at night, but at night I dont count how long I slept before waking up, thats true. I try in the mornings but thats the same result, no dream, I wont even fall asleep.

Then what's probably happening is that you're concentrating too hard on your anchor(in this case, breathing). Do not actively count your breath, or even concentrate on it. Just have it at the back of your mind, always aknowledging it passively. Try to find your sweet spot of concentration.

Remember, the #1 most important step to WILDing is falling asleep. Concentrating actively on your breath is just meditation. An anchor is supposed to keep you just awake enough that you don't fall unconcious while going to sleep. PM me if you want some more help.

The color flickering in front of your eyes is just a sign that your mind slowing down. Perhaps even changing it's state away from the alpha brainwaves.

I experience this every day when I meditate and I only meditate for 20 min. Just continue to enjoy your breathing and when you really enjoy this relaxation you will enter a state where you don't even want to stop. When this happens, gently start visualize yourself doing something.

You can visualize anything, in my video here I talk about one experience where I imagined everything from Youtube videos to studying to hot girls.

I have not reached a full transition through this yet, but it doesn't bother me, I mean imagine doing this at night, you are basically sleeping consciously already!

And the focus and stability of thoughts in this mindstate is a really cool experience in itself. Just continue practising without expectation and more enjoyment and you will see that it will work itself out in time.
