how to wake up the mind but not the body with WBTB ?

      hello all

i have figured out why my WILD's fail. i wake up, do some stretches, then attempt the WILD.

but i still havnt fully woken up, you know that feeling of daziness when you'v just woken up, its hard to concentrate.
its then really hard to keep focus while waiting for SP

what activities should i do that can wake the mind up, but keep the body relaxed? (so SP comes faster)

      i might try reading.

oh, and what position do you WILD in? and why?, is it the same as your regular sleeping position?

      thanks for any replies

Hmm cant give you any good advice but please note that you don't have to go trough SP in order to WILD. ( that's what I'm said by others [ experienced ones ] )

ironically, that is somthing i have discovered quite recently. in the past i have taken the physical approach, wait for SP, focus on HH, and let it take me into dream.
      but that was not working.

so im going for visulaisation, if i visualise myself in a scenario, and do stuff (eg explore) then the scenario will turn into a dream, and i will be there. apparently

i find that keeping a stable visualisation going can be quite hard, especially if iv just woken up for WBTB (that is why im trying to find ways to wake up the mind / make it more active), but apparently as i enter the sleep, the visualisation will be easier to sustain, until it will sustain itself, and everything will become much clearer.

      well thats the plan

I always have a hard time striking the right balance, too. Wake myself up too much, and I can't fall back to sleep at all. Not enough, and I go unconscious as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I try not to do any physical activity. No stretching or face washing. I sit down and read or do a few math problems. I've tried a quick video game, but found it too distracting. Doing stuff on the computer seems to wake me too much. The light from the computer screen is too bright.

I like reading a (non-digital) book about dreaming, or reviewing my dream journal for dream signs.
