      What step am I on?

This morning i woke up about 11 after falling asleep at 2, and since i still felt very tired i decided I was going to try and have a WILD. After about 10minutes, I felt weird muscle twitches in my arms and my arms began to feel really heavy and in some parts even felt painful. Soon this wore over and my legs and feet started tingling and during all of this i was vibrating a little. My back was also quite painful for some reason. Yellow dots were floating around my eyes constantly but i tried concentrating on counting my breats. My body started to feel really heavy and random tingling sensations happened anywhere. The thing is, i could still move if i wanted to, and finally i did since i did not know what was going on. I did feel quite numb through all of this too? What step was I on? Was i already in SP or was i going into it and once you are in it, what do you do?

the yellow dots you were seeing were hypnagogic imagery.

I don't know anything about the pain you were feeling. Were you lying in the normal position you sleep? or did you try something different?

As for SP, don't worry about it. You may not even experience it upon the transition. If you do experience it. Just relax for the duration, and when everything ends, get up and do a do a reality check.

Theres a transition guide in the wild tutorial found here on the site.

Sounds like your getting pretty close. The way I know that I'm almost there, is I'll hear a loud sharp noise, or even a voice. Sometimes this will jar me out of my trance, but lately I've been able to stay calm through it. Once you are in, it's up to you what you do, I would suggest just trying to stay in the dream haha, thats one of the hardest parts for me.

      Numbness

Well, i normally sleep on my side but i find it hard to relax this way so i tried sleeping with my back to the bed. Also i want to add that when i was seeing all these yellow dots, my body was just numb, it wasnt like i was unable to move it. I heard that when youre in SP you cant move it at all. was i just numb from staying in the same position for so long? my hands did begin to feel really stiff and numb though. So how do i actually enter the WILD? and how do i know when to? iv'e read many guides but each one says something different and im confused :S

yeah....your body gets numb after being in a certain position for a while.

As for your other questions....just keep working on it, and when you get to that point, you'll just know what to do. Just try to keep track of what happens during all of your WILD attempts so you'll know what happens to you.

The reason why guides are so different, is because certain things work for certain people, and other people experience different things before actually going into the dream. knowing about them, prepares you for whatever may happen to you.

You'll notice if you're really in SP. You'll most likely get strong sound and visual hallucinations and not just feel numb.

      But you're very close.

hey to prevent the pain while attempting a WILD your going to want to stretch before you attempt it
