Hmm... lets see what I can do for you!
What do HI's look like?
HI, is unique to every person. They usually start out as random objects/visions. Usually, blurry at first and they progressively become more clear. Once, In SP, entire scenes can flash before your eyes, weird objects/animals/whatnot can appear before you. Often times you can see your room through your eyelids. Sometimes HI is brief and you don't see a whole lot. Sometimes it is longer and much more crazy.
How do I pull myself into my dream without going back to reality?
They idea, you want to fall asleep, but you want to be conscious as you do it. Alot of times the dream scene will form around you naturally. You will have to do little more than sit up/stand up and engage in dream activity. Other times (if you have been in SP for a long time and nothing seems to be happening), you can imagine or "grab hold" of a dream scene and try to immerse yourself in it. Imagine yourself in the scene and surrounds yourself with the dream environment.
(i don't get excited and wake up)
That is good. Alot of people tend to do this.
Do I need to be fully asleep to WILD?
Yes, you need to be asleep to WILD. The key is to fall asleep consciously aware of your actions. Keep the fact that you are trying to WILD in the back of your mind. Don't forget it.
What's a tell tale sign my body is for sure asleep?
Ah, the million dollar question. Everyone seems to have different and unique signs/feelings that they can use to determine they are in the dream. For me, nearly every WILD I have, my body slides around the room uncontrollably. When it stops moving and the SP vibrations let up, I know it is time to stand up and get on with my dream. This is something you will have to determine for yourself. I would start with SP vibrations (if you get them at all). Once they cease/die down, you have usually finished the transition.
Hope I helped clear things up a bit. Good Luck to you!
