Cool i once was lost, now am FOUND!!

to be honest, when i first saw the wild attempt stuff i thought it was very farfetched and would never work
so tonight i just decided to lie down face up and see what happened to the sensations of my feet and hands as i lay still
      and OMG

about 5 minutes later, i felt numb
then i realised i could do something with this so i focused on the back of my eyelids, focusing on one spot (where my nose would be) which usually makes me dizzy
i started vibrating and my eyes were vibrating too
i wasn't scared it felt SO cool
some major problems though(which are outlined later)
but i swallowed and opened my eyes, and as soon as i closed them i went back into sp
i did this a couple of times, till it died down
this was really unbelievable for me

      now for the problems
      1. as i lay breathing, i can feel the sensation of my shirt against my stomach, and my quilt against it too. i've tried to remove both from my stomach, but i can still feel the sensations on my back as i breathe.
plus, at this point, i'm breathing so heavy and my heart's beating fast that it's impossible to not feel my real body

      2. my eyes don't shut. especially when i let them vibrate on their own they open wide automatically and the vibration dies. i find myself struggling to keep my eyes shut, which defies relaxation.

      3. it's hard to breathe, and i have to take deep breaths. probably because my heart is beating so fast

      4. i can't see any hypnagogic imagery. i am not PULLED into any dreams, nor do i hear voices or see people

when my eyes opened i was hoping it was an FA, because i was prepared for this. but it's not.

the weird thing is, i wasn't fully paralysed. my face was quite sensational as was my stomach. i find myself scrunching my eyes without being aware of it, which must contribute to my facial sensations

and it is my bedtime now... i didn't actually wake up and start another rem cycle.

anyway i just wanted to say thanks to all those people who made threads about doing WILD. i would not have ever experienced this without you.
i hope with time i will get better but i at least have that confidence now

      oh yeah one more thing

my leg muscles sometimes twitch which makes the sensations come back to my real body.
although my legs are still numb, i feel very aware of them again

It all sounds like overexcitement to me. Just keep at it and you'll get better at controlling you're body and staying calmed. That "eyes wont shut" thing sounds pretty weird though .

All of these probably just happened because it was your first time you've felt SP. Your heart beat faster because you've never experienced anything like this, and you're excited about having an LD. Your eyelids because your muscles were tense. You could feel your shirt because your heart was beating fast. And you weren't pulled into a dream because you were tense. Trust me, I had the same feelings the first few times I WILDed. Next time, just relax and try to concentrate on something else.

P.S. Congrats, and let me be the first to welcome you into the world of LDing!
