      WILD - limbs falling asleep?

I decided, last night, to try the regular variation of WILD described in the forum's tutorial, even though I really hate getting SP.

I sleep on my stomach with my arms at my sides. After only around 10 minutes of lying still and breathing normally, my hands and fingers began to fall asleep, as if they were getting numb, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm not sure whether this was the onset SP or not. It's easy for me to stay mentally relaxed, but the numb feeling in my limbs, especially my fingers and hands, is daunting. I want to try again tonight, but I'm not sure how to deal with it.

Tips or suggestions? If it isn't SP, what can prevent me from numbing up?
If nothing works, I will try DEILDing.

      Thanks,
      Demara

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Do you wake up on your stomach with your arms stretched out to the sides? It seems to me that while in this position your appendages would be expected to go numb, as you are probably cutting off some circulation.

Yes, they do, actually. I'm hesitant about sleeping on my back though, because I have a very high chance of entering SP within minutes. Or, is this actually a good thing when using certain techniques? =/

You want to enter SP to perform a good WILD. Its not needed, but its definately a good thing if you enter SP.

I would suggest not thinking about the effects of SP at this moment. Instead, are you pinching off any nerves? Or do you have any normal pinched nerves? I know that if i sit with my arms up my fingers fall asleep because i have a pinched nerve in my shoulder. Maybe you have something like that this that causes your fingers to fall asleep.

But if you dont and this is all normal to you, then it could be the tingling sensation that everyone gets before SP. But if your limbs fall asleep that is due to no circulation. So its just the "feeling" and they really arent falling asleep.

Thats my take on it. Maybe someone else has more info though.

my limbs feel more dead then asleep, it IS annoying, but i think it is SP, because once i got past it and it felt like electricity was surging through me (in a good way lol)

Thanks. Yeah, it was almost a tingling, but I wasn't paralyzed.
