I Really Don't Get What I'm Doing Wrong

Today at around 2:00 PM I decided to take a nap and try to WILD. No luck.

But I really don't get what I'm doing wrong. I swear I must have read every single WILD guide there is on this planet and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I lie down, relax, do not move, ect. I can get SP to trigger in about 30 seconds. So then why do I have to wait an hour, only to achieve nothing? I was in a few trances, but it never get me anywhere. I felt not 1, but 3 "waves" of vibrations, but still nothing. I just ended up lying there. In the end I could hear everything outside. At this point I probably wasn't tired enough to get any further since I couldn't "get into" any visualizations.

The only problem I can think of is that whenever I go into a trance, I will be in it for a few seconds, and then just kind of "pop" out of it. I'm not sure what it is, I always realize that I'm in a trance, but the moment I realize that I get out of it again. This is the only problem I can think of. If this is the problem, how can I fix it?

If that's not the problem, what am I doing wrong?!?!

      Uhh..

try earplugs when you go to sleep.
and if you're not already.... focus on falling asleep, not the visuals.
Repeat: Don't focus on the visuals. The point is to fall asleep, and KNOW that you're going to be dreaming soon.

I've practiced not focusing on the visuals for quite some time now

Maybe I'll try earplugs, if I can find em...

I have this same problem. The only solution I can think of is to not think of yourself in the trance. But then I end up falling asleep normally so I don't know.
