Well, the only way I could think about overcoming these fears are simply by just saying to yourself that these noises are not real. Which they're not. It's all on you. You might not even have these hypnogogic images?sounds. Good luck.

When you hear the noises think "Wow! this means it's working!"

      Unhappy

When I hear the noises... It ruins my attempt. My brain goes "WHAT WAS THAT!"

and then half a second later... "CRAP!"

this happens to me to, and yes I was scared for a while. We don't know for sure why this happens, but it seems to be just subconscious static. Just do your best to ignore it, as it can't hurt you.

I don't ever see visual hallucinations, I only ever get audio ones...

I dunno, I find them fascinating. When I hear them, it doesn't sound at all like something from my head (like inner dialogue or if I have a song stuck in my head).

And yet, it doesn't sound like if my boyfriend were talking to me or hearing the phone ring.

It's somewhere right in between those two, and it's often very loud. Everytime it happens, it always amazes me (which probably ruins the WILD a little )!
