      No HI?

So, I've been trying WILD pretty much every night for a week, and now the farthest I get is when I feel small vibrations, and I'm completely numb/paralysed and I start to hear things, and I lay in my bed for a half an hour or so, but I can't get any farther than that. It's like once I reach that point I hit a wall, and nothing else happens. It's so disappointing, because I feel like lucid dreaming is right around the corner, and I can't seem to make it any farther. Any tips/ideas how to overcome this?

Also, is it just me, or do things in real life seem a lot louder? Also, my limbs seem to ache, a lot when I'm WILDing, is this typical?

Here is what I need to ask. When you WILD, do you focus on the thought of sleep paralysis, or on one thought all together?

If you focus on the thought, then you should stop. The idea is to just let everything flow freely through your head without focusing on one specific thought. Just lie there, and let every thought enter and exit your head swiftly.

Please respond if this is not the case.

Well, sometimes I do, I mean, sometimes random thoughts come and go, and that's usually when I lose focus and accidentally fall asleep. But when I focus on sleep paralysis I get to the vibrations and sounds, but no HI. So maybe should I concentrate on the mixture of the two?

      Sure, it's good to experiment!

But you might not experience HI as part of your sleep paralysis. If you are just trying to get to HI, I would find that rather pointless to do all this stuff just to for HI. After all, it isn't that great.

Funny, I just came across this topic and have almost the EXACT same problem; I never see any HI or any audio, though I don't focus on any specific thoughts. I just let them pass through. I never actually see anything - I just start to feel numbness in my hands/arms and my feet, though the last time I attempted a WILD my arms felt sore while lying in a comfortable position on my back.

Yes! exactly, my arms felt very sore also, and my foot hurt too, I'm not exactly sure though, since I sleep like that every night, and it feels perfectly comfortable...

Also, no I don't WILD just for Hi, but i thought HI was necessary for WILDing...

When i wild i see feel vibrations and strange feeling, hear sounds and sometimes see HI and also sometimes think of things and then those things become like day dreams that my mind makes up on the spot.

I went into full sleep paralysis last night for the first time; my arms and hands, along with my legs and feet, felt like they were numb and fuzzy at the same time, immobilized. I felt really heavy in my limbs, and let my mind passively think with my eyes closed, and suddenly started spinning, colours rushing all over the place around me.

I found that I had/have a problem with keeping my attention on the internal now, it keeps going back to the TV in the living room or something outside I hear, drawing my attention back to the external. I've procured earplugs to see if that might offer a solution. (This is in case, for whatever reason, I can't turn off the TV because someone's watching it mid-afternoon or something like that.) Might that be an issue you have?

      Wish me luck!
