Hunger affecting WILDing, among other things

I recall reading somewhere that how hungry a person is when they go to sleep can affect their dreaming.

I've been practicing WILDs recently, but the past few attempts have been royally thwarted by sudden stomach growls and pangs of hunger that interrupt my relaxed concentration. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? How can I overcome it without getting up and making myself unrelaxed?

Also, is it possible that sleeping with another person can make it harder to LD, or more specifically, WBTB WILD?

All I can say is make sure you have eaten before you try WILDing :p It might be worthwhile to just get up and eat something and try again, because you will probably get nowhere if your stomach growling is ruining your concentration. If you know there is something that might interupt your attempts such as being hungry or having to go to the toilet, try preventative measures before your next attempt ie eating or giong to the toilet.
I haven't heard that it can affect a person's dream, but I do know that when I am hungry or thirsty that it makes its way into my dreams, for example I will go around eating everything in my dream but never getting satisfied.

And yes, I find that having another person next to me when I try to WILD can be very distracting, if they wiggle around in bed it throws me off completely, so maybe move into another room or only attempt it when you are alone if you think it might hold you back. If they are a heavy sleeper then you might be okay, and if they snore you could even use that as your anchor with your WILD attempts.
However this is my experience and you probably won't know until you try

Well, I know that if you eat before going to sleep, you may not dream. Don't remember exactly how it works, but it had something to do with energy consumption for digesting the food. Obviously it depends on type of food you eat and how much. Probably is different for everyone. (and I have no idea if it affects WILDing too)

I would suggest making sure you have eaten before attempting your WILD. If this is happening during SP, then it is very possible that it is just a hallucination (especially if you have eaten and shouldn't be hungry). If this is the case, just reassure yourself that this is a hallucination and it isn't going to stop your WILD attempt. Sleeping with another person will only be difficult if either they are causing problems (shifting in bed, sleep talking, moving around, etc) or you are worried about it (losing concentration because you are thinking of the person beside you, or worried you will wake them, etc.).

I guess I will just have to sate myself before attempting to WILD I'm certain it's not a hallucination; trust me when I say I know when I'm hungry, haha. It's just frustrating to lay down for a nap to WILD and then realize 30 minutes in that it's not going to work. I couldn't even reach SP because of the distraction.

And I guess I'll stick to WILDing alone or when she's really conked out, because I tried after my 7 hours this morning and her shifting interrupted my breath counting a few times. Oh well!

      Thanks though

Lol, well you just need to eat something before you try and WILD. That should be an easy enough problem to solve.

Lol, I've gotten this problem before throughout my various WILD attempts (and even just sleeping attempts). I have to make sure I'm completely full before I sleep

I do have problems with having another 'person' in bed with me... namely, my snuggly little puppy. I love him, but when I do WBTB WILD, and he suddenly scoots up the side of my futon and lands breathing in my face... well let's just say he's ruined just about every time I've tried... but I luvz him sooo much!
