Question Anybody else felt this before?

Please move this thread if wrong topic.

ok. i'm a new person to the whole lucid dreaming idea, but i've been keeping dream journal, and i have a decent dream recall, so last night i decided i'll try DEILD.

i slept at 11:30 and woke up at 3:30, and i was trying to WILD/DEILD. I tried to feel how i'm laying down(such as fingers or back posture) and checked that all my fingers are apart.(Im comfortable that way) But soon, it felt like my fingers were closed together! I was sure i wasnt moving physically, but i could feel by 'telling my mind, to move the fingers. I did a nose pinch RC, but i was awake. =.=

Can anybody tell me what that was???
Also, could anybody have feel like that?
      (I'm wondering if that's common)

You probably just lost touch with your fingers because they hadn't moved or touched anything in so long. You're on the right track as far as timing goes, make sure to check out the WBTB and DEILD tutorials so you know exactly what to do after you wake up.

When you get a little ways into a WILD, you start to lose track of your real body, and replace it with an imagined body. That is the goal, after all, right? During the transition to this stage, you can have some half-awareness where your imagined "dream body" overlaps with your real body. Some bizarre hallucinations can occur, such as body distortions, feelings of motion, ect. I often feel like my head is expanding like a balloon.

Or, you may have just dozed off for a second, and closed your fingers

I sometimes get things like that when I meditate. You can feel your body moving, but its not. I think, as said above, that its just your division between real body and your dream body. I get's more interesting the more you try, I'm sure you'll get used to the sensation soon enough.

      Happy Dreaming.
