Great handling of the demon and I love how close you got on Task of the Month! As we kinda covered on the podcast, my handling of hostile DCs has been only mediocre lately but this is helping inspire me to raise my game a little bit.

I can't believe you just wrote that. I liked last month's tasks so much but didn't complete any of them (except the mirror one but alas one day early), and now we have lava and punching tasks and I really don't want to do them, so they're not going to happen. Not that I'm a total peacenik - I did stab my BFF this morning, but she had it coming.

But anyway, I totally get going for a simple hookup, especially when you're under pressure IWL. I do hope you're okay.

Yeah you're totally right, once the dream started, the TOTMs didn't even enter my mind once. Haha, I remember before finally drifting off into the WILD, and i was thinking how I don't really want to do the tasks anyway, the thought of lava and punching presidents just seemed repulsive at that time

I'm really sorry to hear about the recent family tragedies, Ophelia. I hope you're doing okay.

Yeah, I'm a pretty gung-ho tasks guy, but I can totally get why there are certain moods where you just do not want to deal with goals and all you're looking for is an experience. The tasks are a means to an end anyway -- to motivate, to build skills, that kind of thing. I've found that when what I need is to just relax, my prospective memory doesn't even bother remembering the tasks. I wind up just wandering about either exploring or dealing with whatever issues I feel like I need to deal with.

Your entrance with this WILD was a whole lot like how mine tend to go! Still have yet to ever experience any sense of vibrations. It's always just me mentally fiddling with half-dreams until they become the real deal. Never my dog's snout though, ha ha...

I got up out of the bed, and my vision was bad, balance was off, and it was really really dark

This happens to me very often if my bedroom is dark, just like the real bedroom. it´s funny how my mind tries to simulate the real world but annoying for dream control. It´s specially funny when i wake up from these dreams, slightly annoyed, and i raise the blinds and then i get another lucky wild/OBE and my window is finally open and i can choose to go outside

Agreed. And you know, what helps lucid dreaming stay UNboring is this forum. Or more specifically, reading about others' experiences, or their ideas for lucid goals and challenges. I swear, in over 9 years being here, I still learn something new everyday by reading about y'all's adventures.

I got enough for 10 lifetimes of lucid dreaming from you folks.

Nice to see that even experienced LDers still get nice surprises and memorable LDs. It's not like there is a point where it gets boring or all the subconscious is already explored. I like that and it's encouraging for us novices .

Heck yeah, at my favorite place in the world, with my favorite person in the world, it doesn't get much better than that

Amazing!! I love everything about this dream. We can't turn back the clock, but we can have dreams like this.

Apart from the amazing day at Disneyland... the rollercoaster van, and the $40 bill that persists throughout the dream are pretty great, too.
