Symbolic Dream - Can't Interpret... any ideas?

Had a very symbolic dream that I can't quite interpret because of the sheer amount of things happening... any help appreciated!

I knew nobody in the dream.

1st, I was in a pool-room somewhere, waiting to shoot some pool. I was going to play against some random guy, then this young child came in and she wanted to play, too. We decided to play doubles with random guy's girlfriend. Then her parents show up, so there's 3 pairs of people, and I duck outside for a smoke, figuring it will be ages before it's my shot.

When I come back in there's a couple of middle aged guys playing pool, no sign of the couples or kids. I tell them that I thought I was playing next (I'm not feeling frustrated or angry, just querying what happened) - didn't get any clear response from them, other than if I wanted to play after them I could.

Then another couple ride into the pool room on a motorbike. A few smiles from people, but it's like nothing out of the ordinary.

I leave, and there's yet another couple with a child leaving just ahead of me. They start getting attacked by this brown cat (teeth almost a baby lioness - but an evil, evil cat). They're scurrying along to avoid the cat, the wife says 'oh no, not this again' like they've been attacked before. The cat falls back and starts attacking me, jumping and scratching and biting, but I fight it off.

We reach the road, and the cat goes straight for the kid. The father grabs the cat by the scruff of its neck and is about to bash it into the railings, looked like he could have killed it, but the wife shouts ('No David! Not in front of....' I'm guessing she was about to say the child) - so he throws the cat into the road.

A car swerves to avoid the cat, and another car goes straight into the side of the car that swerved. Not normal cars though - the one swerving was like a two-decker car, and the one that ran into it was a Formula One style car (both being driven on a normal road, at normal speed limits)

I'm saying to the father, David: "You should have killed it when you had the chance, that poor guy in the car there is ..." (and I know I'm about to say "dead now", but I wake up)

      What I have is:

Playing pool signals competitive nature, and to learn to win or lose more gracefully. There was the whole referendum thing here today - however, I wasn't actually playing pool, I was waiting for my turn.

Witnessing a car accident is recognising a mistake you or someone else made during the day.

Being attacked by a cat indicates it's time to move on in a relationship. Killing or attacking a tomcat in a dream means catching or killing a thief (except again, it wasn't me, it was this David).

      Motorcycles indicate progress.

Put them all together, and I have what seems like a highly significant dream I can't interpret!

      Any ideas?

(Oh gosh, now I read through it - could I have possibly just had a dream about the EU referendum & David Cameron resigning? I'm laughing at myself here. Any other takes appreciated!)

You seem to highlight what the individual events in the dream might mean, but looking at it in a more broad perspective, this is what I get out of it:

There might be a fun event that is going to happen in your life (pool), but something will get in the way of it (cat).
Your morality might have to temporarily be sacrificed to help stop something even worse from happening (doesn't kill cat in front of child - causes more damage in long term).

That's all I can get out of it.
