      Info about Dream Guides?

I have heard people talking about Dream Guides (Not the forum staff), but I couldn't really find any articles about them. I know that a DG is "A dream character who helps you and knows more about your dream than the average dream character; some believe that it is a manifestation of your subconscious." However, that is about all I know. I may have met my DG in a non-lucid dream a while ago, but I don't know enough about them to be sure.

I would like to know if someone had any more information about Dream Guides, and how to find them in your dreams.

The easiest way is to summon/find them, be it by shouting out ''Dream guide, show yourself!'' or perhaps by asking other DC's where you can find them. I've had a few incidents where I've called out for a DG and a DC has appeared and said they were who I requested.

So then is the Dream guide different every time, or will DC's lie to you about whether or not they are your dream guide?

I honestly don't know much about Dream Guides but I found this post that is definitely worth the read if you want to know more about them and how to find them. Good luck

In my experience I've never had the same ''dream guide'' twice, although other people on this site have more consistent ones.. and yes, they can, as I once had a lucid where a negative DC posed as my alleged guide. He did crazy things like jumping on my shoulders, all of which would almost wake me up. Then, near the end, I was about to fade out and asked him how I could re-stabilise myself. He said to eat something, but I had no food on me (nor did I know how to spawn at that time) and he just ran off and left me.

So yeah, you get both the good and the bad in dreams.

EDIT: Thinking back on it, I don't actually think I have found my real dream guide yet. I think I'm going to resume my search again.

There is little belief to none (more like none) in my mind that an actual real dream guide can be called and labeled as one on this forum. Pretend dreamguides maybe will be. There are reasons why labels can't stick to those who cannot be labelled. :-)

My guide appeared to me before I heard of any such thing and basically said "I am your spirit guide." So technically, not a dream guide according to him, but since he appears in dreams so often, I consider him a spirit/dream guide combination. Or something.

It's my personal belief and opinion that they come to you when the time is right. But you can try asking for them or summoning them by shouting it out loud. I think the reason there is so little information on the subject is just that every person's experience and situation is different, so there isn't a lot of common ground.
