Are there any other natural lucid dreamers here?

I've been lucid dreaming ever since I was a child. I thought it was just normal for years. I learned the term lucid dreaming when I was about 15 and looked into it more. I was pretty shocked that most people have to train themselves to lucid dream as it just happens naturally to me. I don't get them all the time, I'll get maybe 3 a month. I'm more likely to have one if I nap during the day.

I will just be in a regular dream and notice something doesn't feel right. I will then make objects move around me (like Matilda) which obviously reassures me that I'm dreaming.

I do find it difficult to gain full control of what's happening, though. I have made myself fly in dreams, that's normally fun

Are there any other natural lucid dreamers here?

There are many other natural lucid dreamers here. You aren't alone! In fact, I skimmed through the 100 most recent threads in the Intro section and found 5 others who said they were naturals (Gej, Ohsupernatural, Aka80, Marabou, Cinder). Perhaps 5% of all of the other members here are naturals.

When I was a kid they used to freak me out a bit for some reason. I would sometimes force myself awake (it would sometimes work) I've stopped being scared of them now though and think it's fun

that is good! I think a lot of people wish they were naturals here, but there are many non naturals here that have as much experience, if not more, than naturals. There is always more to learn and experience. 3 times a month is a really good starting place, I wish you luck on your journey!

Also! Good luck with talking to more naturals, they are around here somewhere.

I've been trying to have one this week but it doesn't seem to be happening right now I will get one at one point, though. I did have more before I started taking Mirtazapine (an anti-depressant) That seems to have limited them.

Hey Catastrophe, fellow natural LD'er here. I was actually shocked to learn that lucid dreaming was even an actual thing that could be learnt by anyone. I thought I was the only one in the world who could do it right up until about age 15 when I found the term lucid dreaming on the internet. I then discovered this forum but didn't make an account until many years later.

Yes I am a natural LDer since age 11ish. Loads of fun and it's great to almost never have nightmares due to fighting them off face to face with super powers/abilities!

I envy you all. I am definitely not a natural lucid dreamer, in fact I have to work very hard at it. But if it is any consolation to beginners, I've been at it for 20 years and I can have them pretty much when I want now... I just have to work hard to get them

I [I]believe[I] that I am a natural lucid dreamer, but I am just starting to understand what everything is, what the terminology means etc. I have had strange extremely vivid dreams since I can remember. It wasn't until my late teens did I start to understand that most people didnt have dreams like I do. College years turned into a time where I shut down the side of myself that had these "dreams" and could perceive more in the waking world that I was ready to admit to. Now I am starting to open myself up to a lot of things including trying to gain better control of LDing.

      Hi!
I also started as a teenager at the age of 13, I think I didnt have LD in 2-3 day per month! I know it sound strange to someone but I hated my LDs and sometimes I wished for normal sleep without knowing that I dream, and without vibrations and all that things which in that time occupied me. At a age of 18 -19 I almost managed to do everything what i dream for and after my 25 I really start to explore deep dream and deep consciousness. It is life time adventure which is even now, moving and changing and even now I sometimes find new laws and theories.

Lucid dreaming is something I was able to do for a lot of my life, but very sporadically. When I start to really work on it (like I am now) they become more frequent and I can control them better. I was in my prime in high school, then I went to college and then had to learn how to "adult," so now that I'm almost there I'm getting back into it.
Plus I think it will help me with my writing.

I don't know how often he posts still, but I know Hukif is a natural. My friend's grandma is too; she wasn't even aware people didn't normally have control of their dreams.
