      Question Wilds destroying recall?

Ive had many dilds and I thought id try to wild for the first time .i woke up at 4:30 and tried to wild. unsessefully. the next night i decided to go back to dilds because to me there easy and i can get them mostly every night, but when i woke up i couldn't remember anything .this hads happened for the last three nights. Ive had hundreds of dilds (never kept track and just started DJ) and most of them i have an extremely vivid recall even if i wasn't lucid. I've never had a dryspell or prolems with recall and don't see why after all the time i dild it would just stop. I want to try Wilding again but don't want to screw up my recall any sugggestions?I seriously can only remember 1 to 5 seconds of my dreams which used to last for 20 min to sometimes hours . please help.

I may not be able to respond dreamviews doesn't seem to let me reply to my own threads. Thanks

I've never heard of WILDs destroying dream recall before, that has never happened to me before, at least. You might have had that dryspell anyways.

About your reply problem, you might want to ask Wavefunction for help, or make a post in Meta.

I seem to have similiar problems too, since I started waking up in the middle of the night my dream recall significantly reduced, from 4 dreams á night to just lil' fragments.. T-T

      It could be a dryspell..
But it also could be the interruption of my natural cycle..

Maybe interrupting your habitual sleep cycle has thrown a little monkey wrench into your dreaming. Did you have a hard time falling back to sleep when you did your WILD? Did you miss sleep because of it? Do you normally keep a very regular sleep schedule?

I'm sure it will all correct itself, no worries

I could see a WILD messing up sleep cycle-related dream recall the first night. But the other two? If you didn't WILD on those nights, I'd say there's another factor at work.

Has anything changed? Did you start taking a new medicine? Some medicines like sleeping pills actually prevent the deep sleep known as REM from occuring, BUT, IF, you do go a while without any dreams because of sleeping pills, a scientific study has shown that the dreams the night without sleeping pills are more vivid, but the nightmares are much, much worse.

oh wow, that's the same things that's happening to me! i thought i was the only one.

since i try to WILD i can't recall my dreams anymore, just sometimes i remember parts of dreams. i was worried about that...
Me: "Just answer me one question: Is this a dream?"
DC: "As far as I know it is, of course."

      I love my DCs! xD

I think I've experienced the same thing. But who knows it might as well be something else that is messing up my recall. I find it hard to tell
