      Re-Introducing myself

I've been here before, a few years ago. I thought I would never be back, but my dreams still leave me questioning my sanity.

My name is Michael, I am 20, and one of the only reasons I remember this place is a note I left in my old phone. I listed Dreamviews.com in the welcome message. I was a kid. I learned early on that I don't like to control my dreams, but like my dreams to control me. I don't like being able to fly, or be able to teleport, or what not. I like when my dreams tell their own story. I like listening, and acting on my dreams.

One thing I've noticed from my dreams, which have become less frequent than before due to bad sleeping habits and below average sleeping conditions, is recurring places. I have a few locations that my dreams involuntarily lead me to or start in for the events of the dream.

I have also noted that I started a dream journal here and forgot about it. I felt like tracking dreams is nonsense for a while. I glanced at it and noticed things that I didnt remember happening, like they were stories I had forgotten that I wrote. I will be reading then after this post.

I will also create a thread about my recurring places for my sake of remembering. I didn't know how bad the human brain was at remembering these kinds of things.

I have written down a couple dreams before, but only if they were relevant, like 1 dream I had had a beginning, middle, and end, like a hollywood dream. Frequently my dreams involve video games I enjoy. I should pay more attention to my dreams. I could start my journal back up, and maybe someone close to me will wonder what goes on in my head.

I don't find lucid dreaming to be about control or change, I find it is more about awareness.
To be lucid I have to become and stay aware I am dreaming. Controlling or changing things is not necessary, it is possible to change stuff in non-lucid dreams too. Nothing stops me from just going with the flow of the dream and playing along.

      Welcome back, Aerotactics!

I hope you will pick up dream journaling again. It helps with recall, and they are fun to read later.

I have started up my DJ again, thanks. Since yesterday, I started taking steps to setup for dreams, such as limiting noises and such. I realize I don't remember half my dreams because I don't think I put enough effort into remembering them. lol

True. And this simple act of you talking about them now will boost your recall. Everytime we think about dreams (this includes talking about them, writing them down, recording), it increases our chance at better recall.
