Lightbulb Project Dream State | Session 1 (Video Documentation)

Ok guys, I started this project at the beginning of this month. It is an ongoing project with more sessions to come in the future. These two videos im posting are parts 1 and 2 of the first session. Any comments you may have on the project please leave them in the comments of the video on youtube, or here, preferably both because I am more likely to answer any questions on the video it self as I check my channel multiple times a day.

Please 'Like' the videos, comment, and subscribe :-)

Also the written outline of the project is documented on www.thinkforyourself.us - just hover your mouse over 'Projects' and the first link to drop down will say 'Project Dream State'.

      Part 1

      Part 2

      More to come soon...

I have no idea what this about, even after reading the website.

It's a controlled lucid dreaming project, if you read the website, it tells you that.

"This involves waiting until the subject becomes so tired that she is able to almost instantly fall into a dream type of state. Before the subject falls asleep the conductor will usually instruct the dreamer on what he wants the subject to try and experience. The conductor then wakes the subject and she reports her dreams. The I.D.A technique is repeated multiple times and is documented via video & written notes."

Must the dreamer become lucid, or does it work normally. Also I never heard of being so tired you can just instantly fall into a dream state, you still have to pass through NRem

I clarified the idea behind it on the site for a more clear understanding

It seems to work with or without lucidity but better with lucidity. At this point in the project we are just trying to master becoming lucid and staying asleep.

Well I guess now you've heard of it. Happens all the time to people. Ever fallin asleep in a classroom and had a dream even tho you were only sleeping for a moment or two? I have, and I explain that in one of these videos too. All ya gotta do make your body tired enough that it goes straight into a dream cycle. Also keep in mind my gf (the girl in the video) is naturally skilled at this for reasons she has explained to me before.

it's still in early stages so any suggestions would be cool, also if I need to clarify anything feel free to let me know just like dutchraptor did here.

      - Updated the site to explain: PDS is what we call a 'controlled lucid dream project'. One person is called the conductor, this person tries to influence the person having the dream to manifest certain parameters and situations within the dreamers lucid dream state. The dreamer listens to the conductor as it attempts to coach the dreamer. The dreamer tries to follow the direction to an outcome desired by the conductor.

      Thanks for the feedback dutch

you dont have to deprive yourself of sleep to do this. Polyphasic sleepers go directly into REM when they sleep, and it's a healthier way of sleeping then depriving yourself of sleep.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

      Very cool project!

I wrote a program that plays an audio track when you let go of the mouse button (when you fall asleep)... similar idea for those without a conductor: Finger Induced Electronic Lucid Dream (FIELD).

You may have more luck if you narrow your hypothesis down to "I think I will also find that outside sources (ie music or touch) can have a significant effect on the dreamer's dream state experience". Instead of trying to turn centuries of scientific discoveries on their head in one go.
