      A question for the W.I.L.Ders

I havent tried the typical sleep for 5-6 hours then wake then go back to bed and wild or wbtb but the only question is
Does it take you long to fall asleep/transition? I feel if i stay up for more than 20mins then it will atleast take me like 30mins to fall asleep which is along time expecially if im staying still etc

Im only asking as i have 3 days off work now which means i sleep with my gf at like 1am and i wake when she does at 6am as she has work so i make her a drink then go back to bed after like 10 20mins......so it seems the best bet for lucid dreaming ATM is trying a WBTB

YES! WBTB that is also a morning nap is the best.

Naps are great since our body knows we just got a full nights sleep so it will put us almost straight to REM after falling asleep. Prime time for a WILD.

And you should stay up as long as you need to. That may warry for everybody and even for same person at different times. Tell yourself that you will be going back to sleep so your body doesn't wake up fully, thinking you are up for the day.

WBTB can be as short as 5 min, but more often 15-20 min are normal. I do a much longer WBTB, 1-2 hrs long.

      Moved to WILD

I agree. Naps are the best time for me, morning or afternoon and I would say I'm successful 80% of the time. I usually know before I go to sleep if it's gonna happen by the way that I feel! Have you been successful before? I'm still a beginner but really feel like I'm getting the hang of it now! I think the trick with WILD is to get your body to fall asleep whilst keeping your mind active - for me at least anyway! I do this by counting mainly but I also find that visualising the numbers and counting with my breathing helps. I imagine the numbers big drawn into the sand and visualise it being washed away with a wave! Sounds weirs but it works for me. I used to listen to a recording of waves breaking on the beach to help me with this but find that I don't need to anymore! Good luck with this....I'm off for a nap now! Let us know how you get on!
