      Shift is Adopting

Name Shift. Nearly 21 years old, a biology/psychology student just finishing my third year of college.

Abilities 101 LDs so far. Able to get DILDs about twice per week±, and have WILDed a few times. Was a Dream Guide on DV from September 6, 2008 to March 31 2009. I am pretty good with dream control. I can regurgitate information on nearly any topic about lucid dreaming, and often use actual research articles and empirical evidence to base my knowledge off of. I also have a collection of these articles that I'd happily share with anyone who wants to really learn as much of the science as possible.

Amount of time you've been having lucid dreams 5 years. With serious effort put in since March 2008.

When you are usually available to answer questions Always, through MSN, PM, and usually through DV chat.

What I expect from the adoptee Maturity and dedication. Don't waste your time contacting me if you're going to end up wasting mine. My goal is to to teach someone to be an awesome lucid dreamer- one of the most important things you have to do is keep a dream journal, and if you cannot keep one at least 4-5 days a week, then it's not worth the time to adopt you, especially for those wanting to learn to DILD.
I would like to adopt a relatively intellectual, mature, and dedicated individual. I would like for my adoptee to be at least 18 years of age, although if the maturity is there I do not care so much about age. I'd prefer it if older members, who aren't going to be dazzled by the forums but still want to learn, try me out, since I think I could teach you lucid dreaming probably on that next level that one desires.

!!!I'm highly skeptical when it comes to beyond dreaming topics. I can teach you nothing about such 'paranormal' topics!!!I do not have a lot of experience WILDing. At the time of this posting I have had 6. I have the theoretical knowledge, but if you're looking for someone who can provide firsthand experience, what I've accomplished is very minimal and I'm not the person for you!!!If you are starting out and just want to learn to DILD, please respond. If you want to learn to WILD, but currently don't have the time and sleep to waste learning it but want to build a foundation, please respond. If you just want someone to teach you, but without the wealth of first-hand experience, please respond!!!I live on the East Coast of the USA. If you are from a different time zone that will cause communication issues, I may not be willing to adopt you as this can make it very difficult. If you are from outside of North America, please let me know when you are able to be only easily so that we can try to work this out!!!
Ok, now that I have gotten that out of the way, I'm actually rather easy going and friendly person and would just really like to teach someone to lucid dream one-on-one so that they can benefit and share the same ability as I have since learning to lucid dream. I feel that lucid dreaming can infinitely increase the quality of a person's life and I'd like to improve the world in one of the ways I can, by improving peoples' lives on an individual and personal level. It's also one of my favorite hobbies that I have spent the past 13 months studying and practicing. So if this sounds like something you're interested in definitely feel free to respond and let's see if we can't get you lucid dreaming within two weeks I'm looking to pick up maybe 2 adoptees so get in touch with me and I'll consider all applicants.
Ok so if you're interested please reply here:

None. But I was very close, though I guess doesn't count.
Do you keep a dream journal:
      Yes. For about 3 weeks.
A link to a DJ, if you keep it online: I write it in a notebook. Sorry.
Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week?: I keep it 7 days / week.
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not?: Sure. I'd like to talk with someone about my dreams. That will be actually great.
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc): Student in high school, last grade.
How much sleep can you get per night?: 7-10 hours
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? (if you don't want to answer this you can PM it to me): No, I don't.
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'?: Anything it takes to get me to lucidity.
How much time on average do you spend online, per day?: 3-5 hours. Sometimes more, sometimes less. ('m also studing web programming)
What would you like to learn from me?: Anything you can learn me. Really, I mean it. I'm opened to lots of things especially that you are studing psychology. However I'd like to learn WILD at first.
There is no such thing as "impossible".

I have 6 days left until my two week anniversary. Hopefully, when you come to make the decision it will be when I am allowed.

Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week? Already have
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not? Already is.

Like mrdeano I'm a little bit of time away from the 2 week limit, but I'm interested in lucid dreaming and intend to stay on this forum.

      Age: 16
      Location: South England
LDs had, and type: None so far.
Do you keep a dream journal? Yes, but I have really bad dream recall so most of it is just fragments or random pieces of dreams. It's here.
Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week? I'm willing to write in the dream journal pretty much every day I have, but at the moment I'm not remembering 4-5 dreams a week.
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not? It is.
Status in life? I'm in a sixth form college, doing A-levels in Physics, Chemistry and History.
How much sleep can you get per night? 8, maybe 9 hours a night. It's the same on weekends.
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? No.
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'? Not at the moment, but I'm open to the idea if I thought it would help.
How much time on average do you spend online, per day? Around 3 - 4 hours.
What would you like to learn from me? My two main goals at the moment are to improve my dream recall so I can remember a full dream at least every other night, and to have at least one lucid dream. I'm hoping that you can help me improve my dream recall, and lead me through the processes of reality checks and other sto help me have a DILD.

Thanks. I hope the time zone / me being a new user isn't too much of a problem. If the timing is awkward communication just by PM or email is fine.

Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week?: I already do.
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not?: No. My dreams are private unless I feel like mentioning a particular dream.
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc): Student.
How much sleep can you get per night?: About 9 hours.
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? (if you don't want to answer this you can PM it to me): No. I have never taken (and never will take) recreational drugs. And I am not medicated.
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'?: No. I want to do it 100% naturally.
How much time on average do you spend online, per day?: Way too much. About 5 hours.

Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week? Yes, every day
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not? It is
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc) Student
How much sleep can you get per night? Weekdays: 7-10, Weekends: As much as possible
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? (if you don't want to answer this you can PM it to me) No
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'? No
How much time on average do you spend online, per day? Weekdays: I check DreamViews everyday, and due to school I'm on for about 1-2 hours. Weekends: 4+ hours
What would you like to learn from me? Mainly DILD. I feel I am a good WILDer, though I have only had two DILDs and they were both very short. Certain factors have kept me from WILDing all the time, so it would be nice to have a reliable alternative.

      8D Adopt Me~?

Knowing how to DILD is important to me because it takes up less of your time than WILDing, and though I want to get good at WILDing, the DILD is better to have a grasp on if you've got things to do and can't wake up 5 hours after sleep to WILD.

      Age : 18

Do you keep a dream journal Yes, both online and physically
A link to a DJ, if you keep it online Here
Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week? Definitely
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not? N/A
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc)Student, currently on a school break & unemployed due to medical problems D= So lots of spare time for a few months
How much sleep can you get per night? 6~10 hours.
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? Marijuana, though in my experience it hasn't effected dream recall or ability to LD unless I'm super stressed. No medications aside from occasional Ibuprofen, and I don't smoke marijuana daily.
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'? I don't, and I'm not sure because I don't like putting things in my body unless I know about them thoroughly. Its a possibility.
How much time on average do you spend online, per day? Depends. Usually a lot of time, even when I have plans. If I have plans throughout the day with friends or whatever, I go online later at night, but still spend a lot of time on it D= I have plans about 3~5 days a week.
What would you like to learn from me? How to DILD better, of course. Not just that, but I can't make a thread every time I have an unanswered LD related question that could help me. I find learning from people is much more effective than the standard format of a tutorial that can leave much to be desired in the way of knowledge.

      It'd be appreciated~ 8D

Pee Ess--- Could I have that list of LD related articles?

Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week? Yes. I journal most of the time.
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not? That depends. If I've to write out all the details and all my dreams every day twice (on paperback and online), I wouldn't.
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc): Student.
How much sleep can you get per night? 8 hours, at least.

Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc): Student, Grade 10
How much sleep can you get per night?: 7-10 hours per night. Less during the week.
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? (if you don't want to answer this you can PM it to me): Not on a regular basis. I like to keep my mind clear, most of the time.
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'?: No and no. Unless you count meditation music, but I would assume that such is standard.
How much time on average do you spend online, per day?: It depends, anywhere from 2 - 4 hours per day.
What would you like to learn from me?: I would like to improve my LD skills, they tend to destabilise as I become lucid. I would also like to experience a full WILD, but that is secondary... I don't usually have the correct environment for a WILD.

On LD hiatus. Probably will start again around new years.

Or, you know -- randomly throughout this year and next.

      Age: 15 (But very mature)
      Location: Saskatchewan, Canada
      # LDs had, and type: ~10, mostly MILD
Do you keep a dream journal: I try my best.
A link to a DJ, if you keep it online: No
Would you be willing to keep a DJ 4-5 days/week?: Definitely.
Would you be willing to keep it online, if it's not?: I could.
Status in life (ie student, out of school, etc): Student
How much sleep can you get per night?: ~8 hours (unless I have homework)
Do you take any kind of medication or use recreational drugs? (if you don't want to answer this you can PM it to me): Nope
Do you use or plan on using any so-called 'lucid aids'?: I occasionally take Vit B complete
How much time on average do you spend online, per day?: Varies, but usually 2
What would you like to learn from me?: Better recall, control, and how to induce lucidity more efficiently.

Please pick me. I'm very bad at dedicating myself to one task unless I have someone watching over me and guiding me, and I think with your help I could really focus and learn a lot. I've been practicing for ~6 months with little success, and I'd like some guidance. Please consider me. I often forget to check my PMs, but I check my mail at least twice a day ([email protected])

      Thanks

      Conkt
