Nah, it's okay. I really liked yours (thought they actually looked better) but I just decided I'd prefer one I made myself.

Pretty good with the brush usage, but I'd give the image a bit more "something" as well- whether that's more contrast or whatever. That's what I'd do, at least. Still looks pretty cool with just the brushes.

I'd like to say I was keeping it simple, but I really just don't know how to do that sort of stuff

Okay that was pathetically lame.

I just made a few small changes, nothing too drastic. The film appears to have already boosted some contrast and added some other subtle effects to make it look pretty artsy.

Before/after shot:




But yeah, the first and last ones don't have quite the "artsy" feel to them. I'd add fizzazz to those ones.

Well I kind of wish I could have found a better picture of the first one, because that was probably the coolest looking scene.

Xedan, i believe you should go threw some of these tut's, they'll give you some basic knowledge of the program and you can grow off of them:
30 Exceptional GIMP Tut's
Gimpology
40+ Excellent GIMP tut's

try some of those out. Pretty soon you may even be able to do your create avatar/sig combos. Like i said earlier, dedication and donuts, erm.. i mean perseverance. Also, try to keep the off topic-ness low here (not saying you strayed off topic but it had the potential), as we are trying to keep the focus on members and their requests primarily.

But instead have the words say "Lucid dreaming classes now open!! Apply Now!!!" blinking blue like the one in that pic? But JUST the text. I don't want a banner or background.. just the blinking blue text to go along with color of the forum where sigs are usually placed.

Okay, thanks for the links, and I'll try to stay on topic. I just made a new sig/avy and I'm working on a few other tuts. Maybe I'll even try my hand at the next sig request (not that I'm ready to be on the staff, just that I'd like to see what I can create upon request).

You should downsize it to sig size and he won't even notice the arms. Until he reads this post lol haha

OMG!!!! I was wondering what was going on with this section of this thread (this page) regarding these pics. I thought it was ONE picture and then later on just the bottom one of posted an I'm like where the fuck did that come from?

I thought this one was a guy resting his head on a table (possibly dead) and the bottom picture was his lower body (sorta looks like he's wearing a ninja costume of something lol. Think I must be really tired lol, just woke up.



Also, I'm back!

lol, it's actually a guy pulling back a large arrow on an even larger crossbow.
