Alright guys, I've looked through this thread, and I really like what you've done here! I'm in the market for something new. I've got this avatar and sig as a placeholder for now, it's just a photo I took at the zoo a couple years ago.
I'd like something bold, with subtle but noticeable use of lighting. Warm colors and/or earthen shades are a must. Reds, browns, a bit of yellow would no go amiss. Preferred characters would include Han Solo, Gibbs, Tony, or Ziva (hurr, Ziva ^__^) from the TV show NCIS, or Peter (or Walter, even) Bishop from Fringe, and preferably an explosion of some sort.
For the avatar I'd really like it if the chosen character could seem to be coming out of a sort of slit in the forum background at the bottom, with a transparent background. Not just a square doldrum avatar.

EDIT: Okay, I have a few ideas for the sig, not sure if you'd be interested in them or not but here they are (I personally think they look cool but maybe that's just me
made it all from scratch besides the pictures of the guy):

nah tommo, when i say "We" i mean the Shop in general. I'm still working on JoS's, i'm a F'ing perfectionist.... When anyone drops a request on us, unless they request a certain person to do it then we're all entitled to a hand at the request and i'd prefer we each try to do each request unless you're already on one. That way the requester gets a handful of choices.

Actually it sort of would be. I ended up with the same stock as you used on the right.

It didn't shrink well, so I'll upload both before and after scaling if anyone thinks they can retain the quality better:
Also, in all honesty, the shrink was supposed to hide the hard outline seen below (side effect of painting background forum color).

In my experience it always filled white unless saved as a png24 or some other kind of file I can't make

@Spenner- DV doesn't fill transparent sigs, but obviously, if it isn't png or transparent GIF it will.
