      cmconch's art (photoshop/photography/traditional)

      Hello everyone!

I am an 18 year old graphic designer (I started when I was 16) and I think I have really found that is something I have a passion for. It started with a passion for photography and branched off when I discovered how powerful photoshop is.

If you want to check out more of my work (photography, graphic design, acrylic, sharpie) here is my flickr stream: Flickr: CaseyPortfolio's Photostream

I recently got accepted into School of Visual Arts in New York City so I am excited to see where this goes.

      Thanks for your time!

Not many people comment on art here. It averages about 1 comment for every 100 views or so.
I think you have some talent. But you need direction. Maybe with art school they will give you some briefs to follow. Keep posting your new stuff!

I really like the first one, the others are kind of generic Photoshops. But the first one is very unique and looks great. Could totally go for a Pink Floyd album cover or a band like that.

I agree with Marvo, the first one is really great. I think it would be cool if you made the grid from the movie Tron: Legacy.

What kind of stuff are you going to be making exactly? Backgrounds, covers etc.?

That's pretty cool. What kind of lens did you use for that? It's really sharp and has a lot of detail, looks great

Thank ! It is the Nikkor 70-300mm, great lens but I hardly ever use it... too big.

Great work with photoshop. I've recently started using GIMP to manipulate images, and removing blemishes from portraits. It's a great program at a great price(free).

I started with GIMP, it is awesome! I recommend it to anyone who is learning the basics of digital manipulation.. but when you get enough money photoshop is worth the price. I am fortunate enough to be able to freelance a bit and have enough funds to pay for it

I like GIMP but it crashes every time I try to make a large image.

That was pretty cool! GIMP can definitely be used to put your foot in the door of graphic art!

Yeah I haven't used it in a long time, it wasn't perfect, but it is free!
