Puffin's Art - [ Photoshop + Traditional ]

I'll be posting all my artwork in this thread from now on, just to reduce clutter.

First off is this one, which I finished a few days ago. It was literally the first piece I did after a three-month break from any form of art. For some reason I saw improvement even though I hadn't been practicing, which creeped me out just a little bit.

Focus was anatomy and shading; I practically failed the latter because my shading skills aren't up to par. As for the size of the image, the original is a whopping 4750x3920 pixels!

Have you heard of deviantart.com? My sisters go there to post all of their art work.

I bet you would get a lot of watchers and favorites there

I've been posting my art there for the past few days. I've only got a few favourites and stuff so far.

I was really hesitant about adding texture to it!

And, here's a quicker one I did this morning.

Those are my uploads for the weekend. I'll be doing a bigger painting next, which should take a week or so.

Thank you! I started from scratch using a reference picture, but it wasn't in the same pose or from the same viewpoint. That's what I find most difficult about using references to create illustrations.

WIP of the painting I'm currently working on. Four or five hours have gone into it so far.

I've got a research paper and history project due next week and I'm doing this instead... xP
I'll probably do another person next but I'm not sure who. Maybe House.

wow, I really like the Daikenki piece.. I didn't know that was the third evolution of the water type... It reminds me of a digimon...

Anyways great job puffin, keep up the good work. Oh and your DILD guide gave me my first lucid dream, thanks!
