Allright I've got a couple of Musical Recordings I made with Guitar and Synthesizer, most of it being Ska-reggae, and I would like to share it with you and see what you people think of it.

I need a site to Upload my MP3s to though, so if anyone can link me to an MP3 uploading site that is free, doesn't require membership and doesn't suddenly take down the MP3s saying you're out of Bandwidth; Let me know.

Here's a Ska song I came up with one day. I made it up before but picked it up again, added some lyrics and recorded it. Now I'm almost done writing this song with my Band. It will be wicked. The quality is rather sucky because I used Audacity but you may understand what I am getting at.

Not that bad for audacity, but if you want my honest opinion, I think it'd be much better if the vocals were tweaked and made louder, and on the same coin, the guitar softer and a tad mellowed. Its not bad though.

I'll soowill buy an Imac computer. I'm gunna need it since at artcollege where I'm going next year if all goes well, they make alot of use of Imacs. I've hear that MacOS has some really good & simple Music editing/recording software called ''GarageBand''. I'll need it to run graphical programs like Photoshop and 3D max and on the other hadn to be able to use Garageband to make recordings of better quality.

No but if it's simple, can make clear recordings with different instrumen on different tracks then it'll be just fine for me. I won't have alot of time this upcumming schoolyear to take so much time to learn to work with CuBase. perhaps Garageband or another simple program like that would be better cuz it's more hands on. More Action, less theory.

I don't need Oscilators and lots of the latest synthetic sound effects; just a way to make crystalclear recordings using a mixer and a plugged in instrument and be able to add some effects to different tracks such as Bassboosts, Wahwah, Reverb, Adjusting Tone...etc Nothing much more than that would be best for me.

This made me chuckle a bit.

Anyway, I suppose GarageBand will do the trick for you. If you're working around on Macs, you might also check out Logic - It's just as simple as GarageBand in the recording/editing sense, but it has the ability to do so much more if you ever wanted to. That is where the complicated software excitement comes in.

Thanks! Off course I see that as a Compliment. All hail the Harmonically and Melodically great beatles
Tweaking the sound to a better quality just ain't that possible on audacity using as many tracks as I did. I'd need a Mixer in which I can directly plug in Instruments and a microphone. My dad has an old simple one he said he would one day give me. I'm still saving money for the upcomming schoolyear's costs AND a Mac. I don't know when I will actually buy it. Maybe sooner than I initially planned.
