I've been told that my sketching is not "sketchy" enough. I always have had trouble relaxing and freeing up my drawing (and making it look halfway decent at the same time). This is my attempt to practice "scribbling". |

I don't think I've seen your other ones, but if you are going for a more sketchy look, this is way off. You clearly have skill, I'm not doubting that. But for sketches, you don't even really need to have the shape correct. Sketches are more for getting the feeling of the drawing correct. Movement, feeling, areas on figures that are taking the weight of the body (like on that laying down figure the arm would be darker because it's taking more weight for example) etc. |
