Ask me about hosting a foreign exchange student
I just hosted an exchange student for 2 1/2 weeks and it was a great experience. Her name was Stefanie and she was from Germany. I know you all have a burning desire to ask questions about foreign exchange students, so ask away.

I learned more than I thought I would, but for the most part she was just like any normal teenage girl.

So when is your time to be hosted? Are you also going to the same family?
I was staying with like 4 different familys over the course of the year of
my exchange. We also always had a lot of exchange students. (5 or 6)
That has always been fun. Do any of you know couchsurfing?

It was through school and I am going to Germany at the end of this year or beginning of next and I am most likely staying with her family. Also, during the summer I might be going to stay with her for a week or two.
I have heard of couchsurfing and I would love to try it when I am older, I would just be a little worried about if I was staying with some crazy serial killer.

When I volunteered it was through a school program and so they didn't ask many questions and there were no requirements, just as long as they had a place to sleep.
I'm sure if you signed up through a bigger organization they would have to do a big evaluation.
