I wasn't going to say it before, but your spelling and grammar are atrocious. Please work on this before future postings, so that you might be taken more seriously.

ok i'm sorry my grammar is not up to par with other people but no one is perfect and you shouldn't judge people because something is wrong or different.

Sorry, but I think it's a bit big headed to tell someone they should take time out of their day to work on their spelling and grammar, just because you say so.
Just 'cause you have a big post count doesn't mean you can tell someone to do something (unless you're a moderator, and even then I think it should be confined to telling someone to following the site rules).

I've seen a lot of bad grammar/spelling, and personally I think this guy's far from atrocious.

What's the point of this, though? I'm not satisfied with any of the answers..

Yet having a low post count and bad grammar makes people ignore you.

I wasn't judging you, just noting that, just as someone that goes to school or to hang out with friends wearing ragged, worn clothing, unshaven and unwashed, with the obvious lack of caring to make the slightest effort towards their appearance would tend to be taken less seriously when giving advice to a stranger, as opposed to a well-kept, well-dressed individual, so too does ones grammar and punctuation have an effect on how we perceive you. Make an effort, and it will make all the difference. On the internet, your words and the presentation thereof are often all you have to represent yourself. Make this work for you, not against you. If you are not a native English speaker, that's fine; but you can still learn a few basic guidelines and make use of them. Placing punctuation like commas correctly, for one, is a huge benefit in conversation. Things like capitalization, while in a way more for appearances sake, also greatly help with coherency and readability.

You consider it big-headed of me to suggest that someone exercise an elementary-school level skill taught even to those to whom English is not a first language? Really? I in turn consider that viewpoint small-minded.

My post count or supposed rank here on this site has no relevance. I did not order the poster to go purchase a book on grammar and meticulously follow every rule. I simply asked them to make an effort to do better, because I know they can and because on this forum, text is our only means of communicating our thoughts, our ideas, our concepts. These things are already difficult enough to convey in mere text as it is; why should we be further hindered by interpreting what someone meant when a simple comma placed effectively could have simplified the matter immensely?

Yes, atrocious was perhaps a strong word. I too have seen worse. But it's still not good.

Oh, and it IS in the rules. Take a look. I'm just trying to do my part, as a member of the community, in ensuring ease of communication and respectability. If you dislike me for it, so be it. I will acknowledge that my words may have been offensive initially, as I did not explain extensively my intent, but I thought it better than being so damn verbose.
