What sleeping position works best for you?

I've always slept on my stomach, but for some reason when I really try and empty my mind and fall asleep I'm too aware of my arms sort of sprawled out everywhere, so it doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried switching to my back, but it's sort of difficult for me to be comfortable in that position...I know everyone's different and there aren't any magical sleeping positions, but has anyone out there found a position that definitely works wonders for them? Maybe I'll give a few of them a try.

When I heard about lucid dreaming I thought you should lay on your back but that never felt comfortable, but I kept it up for a couple weeks. Then I went back to sleeping on my side. I like that the best

This is an interesting question, especially if you take it a bit further and ask which position is best for lucid dreaming. I believe the Lucidity Institute has a similar experiment going on right now.

I should start keeping track of which position I am sleeping in when having lucid dreams, and see if it makes a difference regarding to lucidity.

Anyway, I sleep on my side. When I do relaxation techniques, I prefer to lie on my back with my head cocked to the side (i.e. so my cheek touches the pillow), and then turn to my side when my body if fully relaxed.

Edit: here's the link to the Lucidity Institute experiment I was talking about: http://lucidity.com/DreamYoga.html

You should do whatever makes you comfy. I'm the type of person who rolls around A LOT before I finally drift off.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Sleeping position is something you are going to have to learn to ignore and let your body do its natural movements. Start off with what is comfortable, and then just forget it.

Focus of the mind is learning to disengage from body sensation. It is possible to learn to enter the lucid dream state even while sitting in a chair, in a house with people, common noises. Even in a factory.

      Simply learn to focus.

I like to sleep on my stomach, with my arms straight at my sides. You might want a flatter, softer pillow for that position, because it's easy to hurt your neck if you have the wrong kind.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

On my right side, with my arm folded under my pillow.
