Auto-suggestion maybe? |

Lucid Goals:
Fly [X] - Nuke something with a Falcon Punch [ ] - Stay lucid for longer than 20 minutes [X] - Lucid Sex [X] - Step through a Stargate and enter a new world [ ] - Save a crashing airliner [ ] - Travel in time with the DeLorean [ ] - Go to Narnia [ ] - Go to Middle-earth [ ] - Pokémon Battle [ ]
I dream in third-person just about as much as first-person, but all my LDs happen when I'm in first-person. Auto-suggestion (MILD) can help, as well as imagining your body and expecting your hand to appear when you reach out, etc. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Have questions about lucid dreaming? DM me.
I had a revelation recently, in that most of the dreams that I have had where I am experiencing them third person, about half to 2/3 of them I actually experienced them in first person, but only recalled them later in third person because of.. well. not sure. maybe lack of awareness? or just because that's the way a lot of my daydreams tend to go? or just runoff from viewing videos.. Probably exactly what Puffin said to induce first person perspective though, expect your body to be there. even if you see yourself, try to visualize/recall the feeling of holding up your hand, the feeling of the weight of your pants resting on your legs, etc. I'd appreciate hearing back from you in the thread when you try things like this/ success failure stories. I have been having fewer third person perspective dreams lately but still have them and feel like first person experiences are much more vivid and important. |

LD Goals: Use earth-bending [o] Fly [x] Transform into an aquatic animal [o] Move something telepathically [] Meet my dream guide [o] Eat a dream vegetable [] Walk through a wall [x] Change a dream scene [x]
x = hit
o = miss/attempted
I have always wondered about this as I have many third person dreams where I am just watching. Only lucid to the point that I know I'm watching, and can occasionally stir the dream one direction or another, but otherwise just an observer. And they usually have no connection to daily residue. Is this from me or is some kind of dream guide showing me these? |

I've never really tried to change point of views. Usually in a non-lucid dream I can be in an "in between" point of view which is first person and third. Almost second person you if you want to consider it that. But whenever I am lucid it has never been a problem. I have always maintained third person. Although sometimes I will realize I'm in a dream but not be lucid and be trapped in different point of views. I'm not too sure what methods to use when trying to switch back in forth, I would guess visualizing it and maybe close/reopening your eyes to see if it switches. |
