Can't stop thinking of sleeping while lucid, help?

So last night, out of the blue, I managed a Lucid. So I was standing in a library place with my brother and someone else, whom which he was talking to. So think to myself, why is SHE here? So that makes me Lucid. So I almost go without stabilizing, but I remembered before going through a door. So I think to myself "What can I do to comple-" But then, the very intrusive thought comes in "DON'T THINK OF YOURSELF SLEEPING" Along with mental images of me sleeping. So I think nonono- but I was already fading. So I think, "I'm not going to let this Lucid slide!" I start fading back in, but then I woke up. Luckily, I managed a DEILD, and plunged back into the dream. Just a few minutes later, while doing nothing on the subject, the same wave of "DON'T THINK OF YOURSELF SLEEPING" came in and woke me for good.

tl:dr When lucid I can't stop thinking of myself sleeping which pulls me out of the Lucid.

So how can I, well not think about not sleeping while Lucid? I generally have a disobedient mind, so I feared something like this would happen.

Also, this Lucid, though how short and dissatisfying, has given me inspiration, and am going for the DEILD method as of today and on.

First of all; congratz on being able to DEILD so easily! You obviously worry too much about waking up, resulting in just that. My suggestion would be to set up an easy goal, and try to focus on it. And most important of all; Don't be afraid of waking up. You have ALOT of time to achieve whatever you want to. Don't push yourself too much and just focus on the goal. So what if you'll wake up? Just DEILD or try another day

Whenever you find yourself thinking bad thoughts. Try to focus on the things around you instead. I am sure this is just a phase which will pass. Everyone has a hard time in the begining in some way.

      Good luck!

Thanks Matte87, but the weird thing is this was just a spontaneous Lucid with a DEILD. But I had a DILD just last night, no intrusive thoughts, but I forgot to stabilize >.<
I first tried the pushing hands through each other, I thought I saw it go though a little, but then decided that it was just my knuckles flexing. So the I tried to count my fingers a s a last resort. 1,2,3,4,5...wait, no there's 1,3,2, er, 1, but on that next finger, my mind realized that I was supposed to have 5, so that second finger split in half in a strange gooey way, pretty creepy. But that was what me me decide I was dreaming. So I look around and I'm in this house, with this girl I know standing in front of me. I tell her to go outside, and I imagine her coming back in holding a golden cube. She came in with a golden rod, so it wasn't a complete failure before I woke up, I just need some practice on spawning objects.

Anyways, looking forward to tonight, I got my inspiration back experiencing two lucids in such a short time frame, (well for me) This is getting me pretty excited again *childgleeface*.

Think of what you DO want

I have had issues with this. Basically you should think about where you want to go, not where you don't want to go. I think of it as positive focus. Imagine climbing a rock face with no rope, you would have to look to where you need to go. If you kept looking down "Oh CRAP!" you would not get too far or you'd fall and spend the next year in one of those body casts.
Think positive, think of what you DO want.

Haha... Seems like we're always battling with our minds, aren't we?

I would suggest distracting yourself with something right away when you become lucid. You may be so worried about thinking about sleeping, that you think about sleeping (your mind self-defeats). Remember that you can't think to not think about something - it's a paradox. Just don't worry about thinking about sleeping at all.

      Well there's your problem.

If you think something like that will happen then it probably will. Just like, if you say that you dont dream, then your mind wont remember them when you do.
