Is it okay if i write on a piece of paper instead of a journal?

yes, just so you write down your dreams. Writing them down helps with your recall, it doesn't necessarily have to be in a journal, but you may eventually find that a journal is more convenient and organized.

If you have an iPod touch you can use the notes app or one called fliq notes, it helps you separate your entries into different catagories and by date.

Absolutely. Paper dream journals work just as well as typed ones.

You can use either, but they do have their advantages. There are some really nice downloadable journals, like the one Banhurt made. It just makes things easier to organize. I always feel insecure using papers, because they're so easy to lose.
