      Whats YOUR Lucid Good-Luck Charm?

With some few years experience under my belt, I feel comfortable enough to admit that LUCK has played an essential role in my quest for lucidity... I've had my fair share of lucid experiences and I can proudly state that more than two-thirds of them have been me just being my lucky self. That being said, I'd like to introduce the concept of a lucid good-luck charm...

A lucid good-luck charm, simply put, is a physical object possessing the ability to influence your [lucid] dreams for the better. A dream catcher is an easy example. However, dream catchers have become cliche and certainly don't carry the personal aspect your lucid good-luck charm will ideally possess. I urge everyone to try to find his/her lucid good-luck charm. It can be anything! A flower, a crystal, a picture... hell, it could even be something like a stapler *crosses fingers* Place the object at your beside or under your pillow. Try to feel its presence and the energy it creates. Then, drift to sleep.

Of course you may not have success on your first attempt, but that is part of the fun. Who knows... you may even have to wait for your lucid good-luck charm to find its way to YOU.

      ---

Personally, I've never been one to take to the idea of good-luck charms, largely because I'm a devout supporter of the "make your own luck" philosophy - an opportunist, maybe. However, I believe the field of dreaming to be a very spiritual one... a field which, in my opinion, is very subject (and our physical gateway) to the metaphysics of our universe. I figure it makes a great case for an exception. I want to believe!

I'll be searching for my lucid good-luck charm starting tonight. A good friend of mine gave me an orchid from a garden shop she works at. It has this strange allure to it. I can't pass up trying it out.

I tried this with the small bronze/gold manish figure I had. I put him by my bed side for luck, but he didn't help. Maybe I'll try him again.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Maybe he's just not for you? The orchid I tried didn't really help me at all, but I think I'm going to blame this one on my sleeping patterns and the fact that I went to bed in light tears. I won't say why. Anyway, I think I'll try it again tonight when I'm feeling better.

I made a talisman for lucid dreaming once and it didn't work. Luck is the physical mainfestation of subconscious intent, whether that is known consciously or not. My charm though is Michael Raduga's books as they 'work like a charm'

My cabin in the forest. Well, I think it's more the forest that surrounds the cabin, actually. Without the forest it's just another building.

Is it a pair of Dream Views underwear? Or don't they sell that in the DV merchandise store?

Well guys, it happened! Be it by luck or the power of intention, I had a lucid last night that I'd like to accredit to my lucid good-luck charm ; D Granted it wasn't the most vivid or controlled lucid dream, but I definitely had one. I logged it in my dream journal if anyone is interested in reading it: Lucid in the Hood - Dream Journals - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource

Not the best picture, but it'll have to do until I get the battery for my digital camera back from my girlfriend. Hope this does something for you all. Good luck!
